About Peninsula Oasis

Peninsula Oasis was founded in spring of 2021, beginning with humble roots and not much besides a desire to help people create their vision of an outdoor space to be enjoyed.

Mike studied geomatics, ‘the science of measurement’, and worked across Canada in various construction settings as a surveyor for over a decade. In those different climates and regions, he gained an understanding of what it takes to build something that lasts.

Having landscaped throughout his teenage years, he felt it was the field he could put his 20 years of construction experience to best use. Helping people realize their dreams of that beautiful outdoor space to call their own. It is much easier to put in the effort when you are building something to be enjoyed, getting that sense of accomplishment upon completion of a job and seeing the joy it brings to the people who have put their trust in you.

You will hear them joking, bantering, and having a good time as they work away because in their words, “If you aren’t enjoying what you do, it’s time for a change.”

The key pillars Peninsula Oasis has been built around:

  • Build it to Last - Start with strong, long lasting and durable materials, an eye for detail, and unwavering commitment to construct products of the best quality.

  • Integrity - Being honest, straight forward and transparent leads to better business. Happy clients and word of mouth is your best advertising.

  • Communication – Keeping clients in the loop every step of the way with timelines, progress, unexpected challenges, and budgets. A goal to respond to potential, current, and past clients within 24 hours. Recommend suitable materials for the project, arming clients with necessary information to make an informed decision.

  • Environment – We are lucky enough to live in such a beautiful part of the world that it is our obligation to preserve it for future generations. Working on shorelines and near wetlands, in particular, has the potential to impact many creatures and ecosystems. We use clean, local materials and take care to ensure our equipment is functioning properly, with regular maintenance and cleaning. This reduces the potential for negative impact on the environment and final product. We have procedures and supplies on hand to deal with inevitable mishaps quickly, safely and efficiently.

  • Safety – Nobody wants to get hurt, especially at work. Awareness of body positioning, pinch points, nearby obstacles and utilities helps reduce the probability of incidents. Fatigue management, hydration, proper nutrition and mindset leads to safer work practices.

We tackle one project at a time and will not move on to the next until we have satisfied our client’s wishes.

With this simple mindset and these guiding principals, we are proud to have two years’ worth of happy clients who we are excited to work with again on the next phase of their projects.

We are located in the beautiful Bruce Peninsula
